MissionRLC's efforts are directed towards improving the education and quality of life of our students. We are devoted to using proven approaches to maximize the developmental potential of each one of our students. VisionRLC intends to prepare its students to be as independent, self-sufficient and socially interactive as possible. The school is dedicated to ensuring that all services and supports will be designed and delivered to respect the dignity and uniqueness of each person and will be provided in the least restrictive environment in an appropriate manner. The Renaissance Learning Center (RLC) was created to fill a need for high-quality; intense educational programming based on the educational intervention validated procedures of Applied Behavior Analysis, TEACHH, PECS, Sensory Processing Intervention and Social Skills training for young children with autism spectrum disorders in Palm Beach County. RLC’s efforts are dedicated to improving the education and quality of lives of its students. Since research has demonstrated the efficacy of ABA in the education and treatment of individuals with autism, RLC is devoted to using this approach in conjunction with other techniques to maximize the developmental potential of each one of our students.

Special ActivitiesGymnasticsEach class receives one hour of gymnastics instruction. We will continue going to Gymnastics Revolution just north of the Rapids Water Park. Coach Dave has worked with our school for four years and is a wonderful instructor. We take the children to the gym, using our school bus. Music TherapyTaught by Kristen Seles, a licensed music therapist, each group receives a half an hour class/week. Creative MovementTaught by Dee Mac, each group receives a half an hour class/week. GolfWe are now part of the 1st Tee Golf Program. All elementry and middle school classes receive a half an hour class/week Wish ListRenaissance Learning Center is continually striving to improve their instructional methods. Each child with autism is so different, often requiring very student specific programs and materials in order to insure skill development. Our current funding needs include the following:
